General Room Hire

There are a range of rooms available for hire here at Portishead Youth Centre, with spaces suitable for meetings, fitness classes, clubs or activities. With a choice of the Main Hall, Dance Studio or Nautical room, there is a room for a range of uses with added facilities such as air conditioning and projectors available in some rooms. For general room hire (meetings, community events, training etc.) please contact the office for availability and pricing.

Spaces perfect for your party!

THE MAIN HALL

The Main Hall is the largest of our spaces and is very versatile! Perfect for Soft Play style parties (if wanted, use of our toys is included in room hire cost); inflatable parties or as a large open space for parties led by children's entertainers. Use of this space for a 3 hour party slot (30 minutes set up, 2 hours of party time and 30 minutes to clear away) costs £90.

The Main Hall can also host Doodlebug Village role play parties (see below for more details in our special activity parties section)!

DANCE STUDIO & NAUTICAL ROOM

The Dance Studio is ideal for disco themed parties with its built in sound system and automated disco lighting! It is also large enough to include a bouncy castle with plenty of room left for dancing, or an open space for children's entertainers.

The Dance Studio adjoins the Nautical Room - a space for laying out your party food and drinks.Use of these spaces for a 3 hour party slot (30 minutes set up, 2 hours of party time and 30 minutes to clear away) costs £110.

If you are looking for the wow-factor for your party, our doughnut wall may be just what you are looking for!

Holding up to 30 tasty ring doughnuts, our rustic doughnut stand not only looks great, but is also a perfect alternative to party bags - children can choose their own doughnut to take home or enjoy it here!Add the doughnut wall to your booking for £30 (includes 30 doughnuts).

SWEET CONES

Handmade with a mix of favourites, our sweet cones are great for all ages and are a perfect alternative to party bags.

Add sweet cones for your guests at just £1.50 each.

FOOD FOR ADULTS

Include a little something to eat for the parents of your guests, with our adult snack package.

A range of sourdough base pizzas with tasty toppings that are perfect for sharing.£8 per pizza, served hot.

INFLATABLES & BOUNCY CASTLES

AW Inflatables have inflatables for every occasion - from small bouncy castles, to inflatables with slides and even 45ft long inflatable obstacle courses!

10ftx12ft castles fit perfectly in our Dance Studio, whereas larger inflatables will need the additional space of the Main Hall.Looking for something a little different?

AW Inflatables have packages to include ride on cars, fete games and soft play shapes for babies too!

Special Activity Parties

Are you looking for something a little different for your child's party?

DOODLEBUG VILLAGE ROLE PLAY PARTIES

We work in collaboration with Doodlebug Village to offer role play village parties for children aged 2-4.

Our village includes a number of 'shop-fronts', a fire station, vets, train track and road for children to play out different professions with age appropriate resources to help them get into character!Your child, and up to 19 friends can be the Postmaster in our Post Office, Stampers; a florist in our flower shop or a Nursery Assistant looking after the babies of the 'village'. Sarah will help to facilitate play, but parents are asked to support their child.Our Doodlebug Village parties include

1 hour 15 minutes of play, facilitated by our staff
a game of pass the parcel run by our staff (please provide your own parcel)
a basket meal for each child

LASER TAG PARTIES

We work with Laser Tag UK to offer action packed parties for up to 20 children, aged 8+

You will have exclusive access to the centre, free use of the pool table, table football and outdoor courts, as well as 1 hour of Laser Tag across the full inside space of the Youth Centre building.Staff from Laser Tag UK will provide all children with a full safety briefing, before kitting them out with a laser gun and headband. A range of games will be played including all-against-all, the red team against the blue team, and domination with full support from Laser Tag UK available at all times.

Once all the games have been played, your child and their guests will sit down to a hot meal of pizza and chips with unlimited squash, finished off with a slice of the birthday cake!Our Laser Tag parties include

We work with Brick and Block Parties Bristol to deliver fun and engaging play parties that hold children’s attention with structured tasks, challenges and free play with thousands of pieces of Lego®!Perfect for Lego® enthusiasts and children who prefer a quieter birthday celebration, Luke from Brick and Block Parties will make your child’s party extra special. Luke specialises in working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our parties include 90 minutes of build and play time, facilitated by Luke:For under 20 children

We work with family business Beyond Skate to offer roller disco parties - all the fun of a party but on four wheels!

Our roller disco parties are full of fun with disco lighting, music, games and activities ON SKATES - let the fun and chaos commence!

LA MACADEMIA PLAY & PAINT PARTIES

Does your child love being creative? Our Play and Paint parties are a great way to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends! Elissa will guide your child and their guests to help them create their own custom artwork, as well as decorating their own cupcake and enjoying games with prizes!

Play and Paint parties take place in our Nautical room and cost £210. Choose a party pack and art theme and let our Party Co-ordinator organise the rest.
