In the group hour you get to socialise and meet others, along with putting together the songs as a band.

Line dancing simply put is a form of social dance that requires no partner. Groups of people come together on a dance floor and dance side by side in lines to a pre choreographed repeating routine.

What is the music and dance style?
The music and dance styles for line dancing are not bound to any specific genre. It embraces country, latin, ballroom, pop to name but a few. The same applies to it’s dance genres, it utilises cha, cha cha, swing, waltz, two step and even mambo and samba, again to name but a few.

Please wear sensible flat shoes with as little grip as possible. You will get hot dancing so don’t be overdressed. We recommend you bring a drink.

Stepping Stones School of Dance

Stepping Stones have a range of classes in Portishead and Clevedon suitable for all children aged 18 months onwards.
Offering a fun and friendly dance environment where children can develop their confidence at their own pace as well as exams in Ballet, tap and Acrobatic Arts once students reach school age.

The school started with just 3 classes a week but quickly grew into a full time dance school, and they are now watching the children who joined at 18 months old turn into independent and confident young dancers who love what they do.

Stepping Stones believe that all children, no matter how shy, should have the opportunity to dance, so our aim is to give all our children an introduction to the wonderful world of dance and graduate with a strong foundation and passion for the art.
